Situated in South Wales, the Brecon Beacons are home to the flat topped mountains of Pen Y Fan and Corn Du, among others.

Formed over 186 million years by the deposits of sand under the sea and then shaped, firstly, by the folding of tectonic plates and finally by glaciers 12,000 years ago,  the Brecon Beacon's mountains are characterised by their steep North faces, flat tops and horseshoe like ridges. There are plenty of options to link these beautiful mountains and make a memorable day.
