COURSE OVERVIEW:

This course is for experienced mountain walkers who want to progress to Grade 1 scrambling and take on some more exposed and challenging mountain walks in steep, rocky and exposed terrain. The focus is learning the skills to confidently move safely, unroped, up rocky steps, across loose scree and across broken, rocky terrain.

The course is spread over two days as it gives you time to consolidate your skills and maximise your time in the mountains. Day 2 will be a self guided day under the watchful eye of an experienced Mountaineering Instructor. This will involve you helping to make the decisions on what route is best for the conditions on the day, as well as the experience and ability of the group.
