GRADE 1 SCRAMBLES
GUIDING OVERVIEW:
This guided grade 1 scrambling course in Snowdonia is for those who want to step up their adventures in the mountains but lack the confidence to do it independently. Enjoy the classic scrambles of Snowdonia with a qualified mountaineering instructor, to help build your confidence and enjoy a full on mountain day!

WHO'S IT FOR?

This guided scramble is aimed at those hill and mountain walkers who are keen to develop their mountain walking and progress to scrambling, but want the reassurance of having a mountaineering instructor to help them achieve their scrambling goals, aspirations and to keep them safe.

You may not yet have the skills and experience to safely navigate the complex terrain found on Grade 1 scrambles, and not yet skilled and experienced enough to ensure your own safety and the safety of your group in ascent and descent.

You're on holiday and want a full on mountain experience, for you and/or the family (for ages 13+)

You're new to the area and want to experience Grade 1 scrambles without the pressure of planning it yourself

You have done a few scrambles before, maybe only ridges or buttresses and want to try a different style of scrambling
COURSE CONTENT:
As this is a guided scramble, we will spend a majority of our time actually scrambling to get the most of the day and to complete our scramble. However, if you went away from this guided scramble having learnt nothing, I'd be disappointed in myself! You can expect to learn the following:

Enjoy the classic mountaineering routes of Snowdonia with a qualified mountaineering instructor, to help build your confidence and enjoy a full on mountain day, linking up routes and moving through steep, complex terrain!

WHO'S IT FOR?

This guided mountaineering course is aimed at those summer mountaineers who have done a few grade 1 scrambles and want to experience what harder scrambling has to offer

You will have a fair bit of mountain experience, but may lack the skills, experience and equipment to try harder, more serious mountaineering

You may have a guided trip coming up in the Alps or on the Cuillin Ridge in Skye, for example, and want guided experience to learn some skills in preparation.

You're on holiday and want a full on mountain experience and memories to take away with you

You've seen the classic mountaineering routes like the Cneifion Arete or Dolmen ridge and want to climb them

You've climbed Tryfan, Snowdon or Cadair Idris, as examples, and want to do them again, but in a different way!
COURSE CONTENT:
As this is a guided scramble, we will spend a majority of our time actually scrambling to get the most of the day and to complete our scramble. Your instructor will lead the way all day and will ensure your safety on ledges and on the scramble. However, if you went away from this guided scramble having learnt nothing, I'd be disappointed in myself! You can expect to cover the following:
