Dartmoor Rock Climbing Experience

This is a BESPOKE/GROUP course.

Looking for a half term activity in Devon? Or a half day activity whilst on holiday? Have you got a head for heights? Or do you want to try something new and face those fears? Spend half a day experiencing what rock climbing is all about! Once you are geared up, listened to the safety brief and shown the ropes (literally!) it is time to get your hands on rock and climb to the top for that hero picture!

Rock climbing is a great adventure activity and the perfect way to challenge yourself! All rock climbing experiences will be based on the granite Tors of Dartmoor. With this in mind, come fully prepared for whatever the weather can throw at us! Come along with an open mind and don't worry if you can't get to the top (although I will try my best to get you there!). For a full experience, you can even abseil down the crag too!

WHO'S IT FOR?

• This Rock Climbing Experience is perfect for complete beginners with little to no climbing experience

• Parents who want to take their children climbing. 

• ​A Stag or Hen do activity in Devon (You must not be drunk on arrival to the activity | no alcohol to be consumed during the activity)

• A birthday part activity

AIM

By the end of this experience, you will:​​​

• Get a taste for climbing

• Climb as much as you can until your arms give out!

• Experience roped climbing and abseiling

• Go home with big smiles, stories to tell and sore muscles!

CONTENT

On this course, we will cover the following:

• Fitting climbing equipment

• Tying into the rope

• Belaying and lowering

• Climbing etiquette and safety

• Abseiling (optional)
