This course will develop upon the knowledge and skills you already have and start to turn you into an independent climber: From building your own anchors for top and bottom rope climbing, to setting up your own personal abseil. Join me At The Edge and acquire new skills to become an Independent Climber!

AIM
By the end of this course, you will:
Have gained more climbing experience through lots of outdoor climbing.
Be able to identify and select traditional climbing gear to create a rack.
Be able to place, assess and remove traditional climbing gear.
Be able to build basic climbing anchors for top and bottom rope systems.
Start to become a competent second.
Be able to set up and abseil independently.
Be inspired to continue climbing and attend a progression course.

    Our Independent Climbers course is ideal for those of you who want to progress their climbing and become competent seconds so you can head out with more experienced climbers or join me on a guided climb.
