Situated in South Wales, the Brecon Beacons are home to the flat topped mountains of Pen Y Fan and Corn Du, among others. Formed over 186 million years by the deposits of sand under the sea and then shaped, firstly, by the folding of tectonic plates and finally by glaciers 12,000 ears ago,  the Brecon Beacon's mountains are characterised by their steep North faces, flat tops and horseshoe like ridges. There are plenty of options to link these beautiful mountains and make a memorable day.

GUIDED WALKS OVERVIEW:

Pen Y Fan was my first ever mountain I climbed, aged 5, with my grandparents! Needless to say, this is THE mountain that got me in to the outdoors and one that holds a special place in my heart. The Brecon Beacons inspired me to pursue a life of mountains and adventure, so join me on a guided walk in the place where it all began for AT THE EDGE MOUNTAINEERING and get inspired yourself to DEVELOP and PROGRESS!
