Pen Y Fan was my first ever mountain I climbed, aged 5, with my grandparents! Needless to say, this is THE mountain that got me in to the outdoors and one that holds a special place in my heart. The Brecon Beacons inspired me to pursue a life of mountains and adventure, so join me on a guided walk in the place where it all began for AT THE EDGE MOUNTAINEERING and get inspired yourself to DEVELOP and PROGRESS!

• Those of you in the area on holiday who want to explore these beautiful Welsh mountains

• Hill walkers who have minimal mountain walking experience and want the reassurance of an experienced Mountain Leader to keep them safe and lead the way

• A family activity to enjoy the outdoors together

GUIDED WALKS CONTENT:

On this guided walk, I hope you go away having learnt some new skills and have been inspired to explore the mountains further:

• Basic navigation skills

• How to move efficiently in mountainous terrain

• Fauna, Flora and Geology of the mountain environment

• Leave no trace

• What kit and equipment is required for a safe mountain walk

• Emergency procedures and how, and when, to call for help
