About the Course

What would you do if something went wrong halfway up a climb?

A stuck rope, a struggling second or an unexpected problem at a belay can quickly turn an enjoyable climbing day into a difficult situation.

Knowing how to recognise problems, assess your options and use appropriate rescue techniques is an important part of becoming an independent climber.

Our one-day Climbers Self Rescue – The Basics course introduces practical ropework and problem-solving techniques that can help you manage common situations on single-pitch and multipitch routes.
