Guided Walk - Pen Y Fan

Steep climbs, beautiful views and 3 summits! A stunning day, traversing the peaks of the Central Beacons, including the summit of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales.

We start the day from the Upper Neuadd reservoir car park with a steep climb! From the top of the climb, it is a gradual ascent along the top of the cliffs, heading towards Corn Du. We join the top of the Pont ar Daf path and head up Corn Du, then continue to the summit of Pen Y Fan.

From here, we descended the infamous Jacob's Ladder, along steep descent to the cold between Pen Y Fan and Cribyn. Another steep ascents brings us to the summit of Cribyn.

Once we have descended off Cribyn, we follow an old Roman road, overlooking the now drained Upper Neuadd Reservoir and back to the car park.
