What to Expect on a Guided Climbing Course

A Guided Climbing course is about developing your climbing skills while enjoying real routes outdoors, with an instructor managing safety and systems so you can focus on movement, technique, and confidence.

This course suits climbers who want to progress without the pressure of leading or managing rope systems themselves.

  • Movement and footwork on rock

  • Route reading and problem-solving

  • Efficient body positioning

  • Building confidence on steeper routes

  • Improving technique through practice

How the Day Runs (Public Courses)

Public Guided Climbing courses typically:

  • Start at 09:00

  • Finish around 16:00

  • Take place at appropriate outdoor crags

  • Offer a balance of climbing and coaching

The day is structured but relaxed, with time to reflect and improve between climbs.

Bespoke Guided Climbing Courses

Bespoke courses allow the day to be fully customised.

Before the course, we’ll discuss:

  • Your climbing background

  • Grades you’re comfortable on

  • What you’d like to improve

This allows us to tailor:

  • Crag and route choice

  • Coaching focus

  • Pace and intensity

Bespoke days are ideal if you want focused progression or are climbing with friends of similar ability.
